My passion for brain health started in 2018.
It started when my father — who was not only my dad but my best friend — called and told me he'd taken the elevator down in his apartment building with some friends, then invited them up to see his collection from the 1893 World's Fair, which he believed was one of the largest of its kind in the world. As they walked in, his friends said, "We were in your apartment yesterday — we already saw the whole collection." That's when I realized my dad was in trouble, and there was no turning back.
By 2019, a year after I first noticed the signs of dementia in my father, I had found my mission and my passion: not only helping my dad, but helping others facing the same thing. At the time, I was a year into a health coaching program called the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and one of the best lecturers in that program happened to be Dr. Daniel Amen.
Finding My Mission Through Dr. Amen
I was so impressed by Dr. Amen's approach, how he paid attention to the whole body of his patient, not just the symptoms. His philosophy was to use medication only as a last resort, exploring every other health modality first.
There were so many areas of the Amen University program that surprised me in the best way. I loved the incredible passion and dedication I saw not only from the staff at Amen University, but from every Amen Clinic across the country. I also loved the support I received from other students in the program, the mentors, many of them former students themselves, were so generous with their time and guidance. I learned an incredible amount, not just about brain health, but some of the best coaching skills I've ever been taught. I've also come to see how decisive SPECT scans can be for patients, and I've loved watching people make real, measurable changes to their brains. From 2019 to today, I've watched my own clients make incredible, preventative changes — proof that this work truly transforms lives.
That experience eventually led me to where I am today. As founder of Dynamic Solutions for Life, I help health coaches build thriving, sustainable businesses through my Global Health Coach Mastermind, business coaching programs, and 1:1 mentorship — while also guiding individuals directly through brain health coaching, my Sugar Freedom Program, and group and 1:1 health coaching. I bring brain health principles into everything I teach, helping both coaches and clients learn how to sharpen focus, break free from unhealthy cycles, and build lasting, sustainable change.
Why Brain Health Matters
I believe brain health touches nearly every area of our lives. When our brain isn't functioning well, it could be the result of poor sleep, poor nutrition, lack of physical exercise, poor blood flow, toxins, diabetes, and so much more. By focusing on brain health, my clients get to address all of these areas at once — instead of chasing one symptom at a time. As I mentioned before, it's our most important organ.
“We spend most of our lives focused on our skin, our hair, and our weight — because those are the parts of ourselves we can see. It’s about time we start focusing on our brain: the most important organ in our body.”
What Does a Brain Health Coach Actually Do?
A Brain Health Coach isn't a therapist. They don't diagnose, prescribe, or treat.
What they do is help people understand the connection between their brain, their habits, and their everyday life — and give them practical tools to start making changes that actually stick.
Think about how often the people in your life struggle with:
• Managing stress and emotional overwhelm
• Staying focused and following through on goals
• Making good decisions under pressure
• Sustaining energy throughout the day
• Navigating relationships and communication
Most of them were never taught how their brain influences all of it. Brain Health Coaches bridge that gap.
Note: This is not therapy, medical treatment, or clinical practice. Brain Health Coaches support behavior change and brain health education.
